How to correctly lace up your corset
Key thing is to have two loops, marked with <4> and pull them when lacing a corset. You gain 2 times shorter hanging laces, a lot smaller force to pull them, better look, and in addition you do not need to thread lace through the eyelets.
Your lace must be on top <1> of leather. This holds corset closer to your body. Make a first crossing <2> behind the leather. It's needed to have the <4> loops on top. Make several crosses <3> always in the same order (lace going from right to left must be on always on top). Make a loop <4> somewhere in the middle, that you will pull later to tighten the corset. Make a knot <5> which will stay for live long. You only need to loose your corset a bit and then release a busk, so it's not necessary to take the lacing away. |
